Kindergarten
At Good Shepherd School, our Kindergarten program provides a full-day experience that inspires curiosity, creativity, and growth through multisensory learning and cross-curricular teaching. Rooted in Catholic values, our Religion program teaches children about God’s creation and love, fostering gratitude for family, friends, and neighbors. Phonics is a cornerstone of our Language Arts curriculum, where students master foundational skills like sound blending, segmenting, sight words, and spelling patterns, paving the way for confident reading and writing. In Math, children explore numbers, place value, geometry, and measurement through engaging, hands-on activities. Social Studies and Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) help students develop kindness, teamwork, and a sense of community as they practice being respectful and responsible citizens. In Science, students investigate plants, animals, weather, and other wonders of the natural world.

Throughout the week, enrichment classes in Music, Art, Technology, Spanish, and P.E. allow students to explore their interests and develop well-rounded skills. Friendships flourish as Kindergarteners build connections with their peers and older students, particularly through our special 8th Grade buddy mentorship. Our Kindergarten program ensures a nurturing, joyful environment where every child grows academically, socially, and spiritually. Come see how Good Shepherd School provides the perfect foundation for lifelong learning and faith.
