Dear Parents and Families:
Reading for pleasure unlocks the power of information and imagination and helps children discover who they are.
Our annual Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event during Catholic Schools Week, that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. It’s a wonderful selection of engaging and affordable books for every reading level. Please make plans to visit our Book Fair and be involved in shaping your child’s reading habits.
This years Book Fair Dates are:
Wednesday, 1/24/18 Classroom Shopping Day (schedule attached below)
Friday, 1/26/18 during Grandparent’s Day and until 4PM
Sunday, 1/28/18 during Open House 11am-1:30pm
Classroom Shopping Day is a day for each child to shop with their classroom friends. On this day, you can send your child(ren) with cash or a check made out to Good Shepherd School. You can leave the amount blank and let your child know what limit they have. Credit cards are also accepted when shopping with your children. We will help them sort out their money and let them know if they do not have enough. Unfortunately, we can not do IOU’s. If a child sees something they want, they can put it aside for you to return with your child to purchase. The book fair will be open until 4:00pm on Friday after Grandparent’s Day for parents that want to shop with their children after school. We will also open on Sunday during Open House.
During the book fair, teachers will pick books for the classroom library. We will have them on the side of the registers. If you would like to purchase and donate some books to your classroom, ask any of the book fair helpers and we can direct you to their wish list.
We look forward to seeing you and your family at our Book Fair! Remember, all purchases benefit our school.
See you at the Book Fair!!!
