Then you are invited to Good Shepherd’s SPOOK-TACULAR Halloween night. This year’s theme is The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The Nightmare Before Christmas is a PG rated family-friendly film about Jack Skellington, the Pumpkin King of Halloween Town, who wanders into neighboring Christmas Town and struggles to incorporate these new traditions into his Halloween lifestyle. The film, which features a charming score by composer Danny Elfman, was the first animated film nominated for an Oscar for best visual effects and has sold out orchestral performances across the country. Fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite Tim Burton character or in their Halloween costume! The Good Shepherd School Halloween Festival takes place every year in October in the school grounds. We will be celebrating on Friday, October 27th from 6 – 10:00pm and the Fall Committee of the school are promising to make it even spookier and more fun than ever!
The Halloween Festival welcomes everyone in the community, but is particularly aimed at 5 – 12 year olds. The Festival is a unique and fun day for children and parents alike and captures the true spirit of our school community. There’s a lot of home-made ingenuity, we have very creative and resourceful parents who are committed to making this event a wonderful showcase for the school.
A range of fun games have been carefully planned to keep your family well entertained and from the moment you purchase your Halloween Tickets at the front gate the children (and their parents) will be entertained for quite some time. It’s entertaining just walking around looking at all the costumes the students, parents and school administrators are dressed in.
Good Shepherd school grounds offers free parking and is centrally located next to Oceana High school. For further information on the event or if you would like to support the school in some way please visit our school website.
