Good Shepherd School's curriculum challenges students beyond the basics, including religious training, computer education, laboratory science, library, music instruction and physical education. A Counselor helps students with their emotional development, and a Learning Specialist helps students reach their full potential. The full-time Science and Computer Teacher, along with the Librarian, provide students with hands-on, stimulating learning experiences. Every classroom is connected to our computer network, providing highspeed access to the World Wide Web. Before and after school Extended Care is available from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Sixth, seventh and eighth grade studies are departmentalized by area of academic specialty to leverage the strengths of the diverse faculty. Effective time management and organization skills are developed as students in grades 6 through 8 receive instruction in seven 45-minute periods. Emphasis is placed upon a mastery of basic subject matter, yet the curriculum is designed to stimulate higher order thinking.
